Who this notice covers
This notice explains how Handled Tax & Advisory, operated by Amanda Emerdinger under Accountability Tax Services PLLC, handles information connected with this website, inquiries, appointments, and the services linked here.
It should be read alongside your engagement terms, any client privacy notices provided with your service, and the policies of the platforms you choose to use.
Information you choose to provide
When you contact Handled, book an appointment, or complete a linked inquiry form, you may provide your name, contact details, business information, and a description of the help you need. Calendly handles appointment details and, for paid sessions, payment through its payment service.
When you become a client, the information needed for your work may include tax documents, financial records, taxpayer identifiers, signatures, and billing details. Use the client portal or the agreed document-delivery method for those records. Please do not send Social Security numbers, bank details, or tax documents through a general inquiry form or ordinary email.
How information is used
Information is used to respond to inquiries, assess which services fit, schedule appointments, request documents, perform agreed work, communicate with you, handle billing, and maintain necessary business and professional records.
Tax return information is used and disclosed for the agreed services and as permitted or required by applicable law. Any additional consent or authorization required for a particular use or disclosure is handled separately.
Service providers and other disclosures
Technology providers support the work, including TaxDome for the client portal, Calendly for scheduling, Google Forms for linked inquiries, and payment, email, hosting, and tax-preparation services as applicable. These providers process information needed for their functions under their own terms and privacy practices.
Handled Protection uses TaxRock for IRS transcript access and monitoring, within the accounts and authorization agreed with you. Required taxpayer authorization is arranged before access begins.
Information may also be disclosed at your direction, to taxing authorities as part of authorized work, or when disclosure is required by law. General inquiries do not authorize access to your IRS account.
Website operation, cookies, and external links
This site’s pages do not include advertising pixels or third-party analytics scripts. Hosting and security services may process technical information such as IP addresses, requested pages, browser information, and timestamps to deliver and protect the site. Access or authentication services may use necessary cookies.
Booking, portal, and inquiry buttons open external services. Those services may use cookies or collect information under their own policies. Your browser settings and the external service’s controls can help you manage their cookies.
Keeping information and handling requests
Information is retained as needed for the service, business records, and applicable legal or professional requirements. Some records may need to be kept even after an engagement ends.
You may contact Amanda to ask about your information, request a correction, ask about available access or deletion options, or change communication preferences. Requests may require identity verification and are handled subject to applicable requirements and recordkeeping obligations.
Client feedback and stories
Testimonials are used with permission and attributed in the way the client requested. Client-story summaries omit identifying details. If you have a question about feedback displayed here, contact Amanda.
